The Music of David Lynch collects recordings from a concert hosted in Los Angeles last year in celebration of 10 years of the David Lynch Foundation. A bunch of incredible musicians appear on the record, including Sky Ferreira (covering “Blue Velvet”), Lykke Li (Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” from Wild At Heart), and Zola Jesus (“In Heaven” from Eraserhead). There’s also space for Lynch’s longtime musical collaborator Angelo Badalamenti to perform “Laura Palmer’s Theme”, while the album closes with a poem recited by Lynch himself. If you need even more David Lynch covers in your life, the album has good company: last month American noise rock band Xiu Xiu announced that they’d be releasing their own take on the Twin Peaks soundtrack. The double LP is out via Communion on April 15th. See the artwork and tracklist below, via Oyster. LP 1 01. Angelo Badalamenti — “Laura Palmer's Theme”02. Donovan — “Love Me Tender”03.
