From Sia’s soaring pop gem “Alive” to neo-soul queen Erykah Badu’s spin on Drake’s summer jam “Hotline Bling” (which blows the original out the water, IMHO) and rebel girls Skinny Girl Diet’s stormy, scuzz-filled comeback via “Silver Spoons”, this month has been flinging out musical blessings from all directions. And that’s without mentioning the fact that Arca just casually dropped the first single from his imminent album Mutant, or that Björk selected her fave producers to give Vulnicura the remix treatment a third time round. On a side note, if you haven’t heard of LA artist A.CHAL yet, then crank up the volume – I hope you get as obsessed as we are.
