She debuted a trailer for her new single "Bitch Better Have My Money". RiRi was up for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and lost out to Beyoncé, but not without making her mark. Here’s what she got up to. SHE PUT DUCT TAPE OVER FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S MOUTH We’d imagine that Rihanna doesn’t carry emergency duct tape in her bag, so we’re going to speculate that this was one of those things known in the industry as a stunt. If anyone needs shutting up it’s champion boxer Mayweather, a man who absolutely loves the sound of his own voice almost as much as he does money. Seriously, that guy would be a pain to sit next to. Presumably Rihanna had had enough of him, so out came the duct tape to shut him up the old-fashioned way. via tumblr.com THREW A WAD OF MONEY AT ONE OF THE ORGANISERS RiRi’s plan was to chuck some cash into the crowd, she's generous and it would be an excellent opportunity to remind everyone that she’s loaded. However, the organisers weren’t keen and stopped her doing it, something a stony-faced Rihanna wasn’t happy with it. "But why?" asked Rihanna. "This is why I fucking hate coming to BET". Then she threw a wad of notes straight at President of Programming Stephen Hill and walked on stage looking like she was about to explode. Hill later posted a picture of the two "having made up" and BET today claimed that the incident was a stunt. Sounds like damage control to us. Rihanna wanted to throw money in the crowd & BET refused so this is her response. CRYING. pic.twitter.com/sfsyQIbayl— Boqor Riya. (@HausOfRiya) June 29, 2015 TURNED UP IN HER NEW VIDEO PLAYING A MURDERER Rihanna dropped a trailer for the "Bitch Better Have My Money" video, directed by Evan E.Rogers. She’s already promised that it’ll contain nudity, bad language and violence, and the short clip she’s released has her positioned as a kidnapper slash murderer who "disappears" a privileged woman in a swanky elevator. Rihanna’s performance at the BET awards, coupled with the release of this trailer hints at a controlled, developing persona. She wants everyone to know that she’s here and that she means business.
