Music / NewsIs Jai Paul working with Miguel?Pop's most cherished enigma makes a surprise appearance on the R&B star's Instagram feedShareLink copied ✔️November 14, 2014MusicNewsTextThomas Gorton Seven years after "BTSTU" was released, the world is still waiting for Jai Paul's next step. Surprise surprise – it might involve something with Miguel. The R&B star has uploaded a picture of himself with the secretive musician and his producer brother A.K, prompting rumours of a collaboration between the trio. The caption reads "the primo's AK Paul & Jai Paul". Maybe they're just hanging out, maybe the brothers are producing Miguel's new album. Either way, it's good to know that Jai Paul is still involved with music in some capacity, especially after 16 of his unreleased tracks were illegally uploaded online last April. XL's in-house producer Rodaidh McDonald gave a huge hint this year that Jai Paul would be hitting the world with some new material. "I did something with him last week, some vocal production on a new song," he told us in an interview. "We finished it, whether he wants to put it out or not I don’t know. It’s just a very long process for him I guess, he’s been working on (his album) for years. One of the things that I sort of identified was that he might benefit from some help using vocals. But his music sounds so good, he doesn’t need any help, I think he’s perfect." In the meantime, A.K. has released the brilliant "So Good" on Dummy Records with the London singer Nao. But still no word from Jai Paul. Guess we'll just have to wait to see what he has in store with Miguel.
