Cara Delevingne, Marilyn Manson, Flea, Jack Black, Dita Von Teese and the ATL Twins all show up cavorting to "Ugly Boy". The track features a lengthy sample of the Aphex Twin song "Ageispolis" from Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and the ugly boy in question is said to be a Cape Town gangster that Yo-Landi started seeing after she split from Ninja, making for a potentially awkward dynamic in the studio. Ninja says in the insert of their third album Donker Mag: "Dis song was a bit of a mindfuck 2 make… me and Y had been broken up 4 a while… but dis was da 1st time dat Y got in2 a kinda serios relationship wif sum1else, who happnd 2 be an activ gangster from da cape flats… who runs wif a gang called da UGLY AMERICANS.. or UGLY BOYS." Regardless of any romantic complications, the two of them seem happy enough in the video and as an aside, we'd like a few of Yo-Landi's Aphex hoodies for ourselves. Back in 2010, Dazed took a trip to Cape Town to hang out and drink milkshakes with Die Antwoord. Check it out below. Escape the algorithm!
