AlunaGeorge's top ten songs of summer

“Finishing a show at a festival in Latvia and then immediately running onto a white sand beach through some woods and the edge of the site. Stunning!” says Aluna Francis, one half of electronic duo AlunaGeorge, on the moment that defined their summer. They formed back in 2009 when other member George Reid remixed a track from Francis's old band – and have since collaborated with Disclosure on their smash "White Noise" and been nominated for a Brit Award.

Now fresh from their most exhausting (but enjoyable) summer of festivals yet, which saw them perform everywhere from Coachella and Glastonbury to Latvia's Positivus, AlunaGeorge have teamed up with Levi's for their latest project, Live in Levi's – which documents how everyday people spend their lives wearing the iconic brand. To celebrate, the pair created an unique window display of their summer festival memorabilia at the Levi's flagship store on Regent Street, which will be on display until mid-October. We chatted to Aluna about their festival highlights and favourite Levi's pieces, and got the band to give us their favourite summer tracks.

Aluna Francis: A whistle and an old burner phone that never dies on you!

What was the first Levi’s item you owned? Any memories attached?

Aluna Francis: I took an old pair of my mum's when I was a teenager. I asked her about them and she said they were her first pair she got from an Oxfam shop. She'd been wanting them for ages that were just the right amount of worn. She wore them everyday when she got them.

If you were a Levi’s garment, which one would you be?

Aluna Francis: I'd be a checked shirt that had been washed a hundred times and tied around someone's sexy hips.

What’s your most lived in Levi’s item?

Aluna Francis: My men's camel coloured suede jacket.
