It's been a rough twelve months for Gucci – he was dropped by Atlantic Records and involved in numerous altercations with the powers–that–be. The incident in question took place in September last year. According to the federal prosecutor's press release, Gucci Mane (who was also a felon at the time) was found in possession of a firearm. Just two days later, he was again found to be in possession of a firearm – this time, a different one from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney. This is not the rapper's first run-in with the law. He was prosecuted for assaulting a man in a nightclub with a champagne bottle in 2010. Five years earlier, he was arrested in connection with a murder but the charges were dropped.
