Nuanced London dance producer Throwing Snow released the cohesive Pathfinder EP this week on Houndstooth, and now he shares the exploratory title track. Opening with staccato guitar noodling, it opens up into something quite different – a contorted rumble propelled into new space by glimmering, feather-light synth lines. With chasms of darkness leading to a more mellow, almost blissy conclusion, it deserves to be played in a room the size of an aircraft hanger, or at least at a volume loud enough to fill one.
