Last weekend, the Hivern Discs boss John Talabot swapped sunny Barcelona for the even sunnier shores of Miami to go back to back with Jamie xx (of well, The xx) on the decks for east London's NTS radio show with Nic Tasker - as well as Young Turks who take over for the final of the three hour show. Talabot's debut album, 'Fin', finally released on cult label Permanent Vacation last year was crafted purely from his impressively extensive analogue synth collection, resulting in a beautifully warm and rich house LP. Whilst Jamie xx has since taken a more electronic turn in his own productions from his previous musical project - making for a dream tag team of deliciously melodic summer sounds fusing disco, soul and funk influences.
