Here they chat to us about caravan holiday camps and brogues with no socks after their stints on the cult indie Moshi Moshi imprint with their DIY 90s-influenced sounds, and a split release with Mazes... WHAT's......the story behind your name?Eagulls came about from a concoction of caravan holiday camps, good music, Shaggy, Primavera Festival, white rum, Social Club MC's and the fact that we wanted a band. ...the best thing about where you're from? The best worst thing about where we reside at the moment is all the weirdo fame. Like Newcastle rat face, the old skinhead with a rat tattoo on one cheek and a Newcastle FC logo on the other cheek. The real best thing is The Brudenell Social Club. The best venue in the UK.... your favourite sound?Music-wise - A perfect blend of My Bloody Valentine's Loveless album, THE THE's Song without an ending and GG ALLIN's Cheri Love Affair. Lifewise - Farting....your favourite website?Jobseekers.direct.gov.org...your worst fashion secret? We don't hold secrets on fashion we just know that wearing no socks with brogues in London seems to be appropriate?...are you listening to now?A mixture of old and new. Crisis - Holocaust UK, Bauhaus - Dark Entries, John Cale - Vintage Violence, Kurt Vile - Smoke Rings for my Halo, CRASS - Do They Owe us a Living. How would you describe your work?A punk and post punk, 90s influenced British band. What's next?Release our first EP then gig our first EP. Maybe a tour. Keep on being inspired by the weirdo's, Write more music and continue the cycle.
