House of Lords votes for at-home abortion provision We’d always thought that living in a country where hundreds of people have power over our laws, without ever being elected by the public, was a bad thing. Especially when 13 per cent of them inherited their power from their daddies. But this week the House of Lords voted for at-home abortion provision, allowing women to continue to access abortion services at home. Which is kind of great. But wait, do we stan the House of Lords now? Maybe? Honestly not sure about anything these days. But maybe desperate times do call for desperate measures? Only joking abolish them immediately x The potholes near Rod Stewart’s house are going to be fixed Love this for you, Rod! But also: BBC, you OK? Don’t worry, we’re not either. Stormzy announced his third album Love you Big Mike, can’t wait to hear it. Maximilian got a big new job One of our favourite emerging designers, Manchester-born and London-based Maximilian Davis was this week appointed creative director of Italian luxury fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo. It’s a pretty big deal! Maxmilian is an amazing new voice in fashion, known for his elegant and sensual point of view, and his precise cutting skills. It’s going to be really exciting to see what he does there. Will Smith called Bradley Cooper ‘beautiful’! Not sure why this was news, but sure! “I can’t even concentrate, he’s so beautiful,” Smith said in a speech at the annual National Board of Review film awards. The comment was then reported on by the New York Times. How nice. We’re getting a heatwave in April Apparently, we’re in for a heatwave next month, with temperatures expected to soar to a toasty 28C. Is this yet another sign of our impending climate doom? Probably! But listen: it’s been a long, cold, COVID-y winter, and some hot weather will be nice. Let’s enjoy it x Our new issue dropped!
