Life & CultureNewsAre Grimes and Chelsea Manning... dating?Love that for themShareLink copied ✔️March 11, 2022Life & CultureNewsTextDominique Sisley Grimes is dating Chelsea Manning, according to a strange new report from Page Six. The gossip site made the claim today, citing an anonymous source who had apparently confirmed the news. According to the mystery Page Six messenger, Manning and Grimes have been “getting serious” since the singer “split” from late-capitalist poster boy Elon Musk last year. “They U-Hauled it,” claimed the source, referring to Grimes and Manning’s “fast-paced” love affair. “They’ve been living together in Austin.” No harm to this mystery source, but it’s not a lot to go on. So let us look at the evidence we have before us. A quick snoop on Twitter shows that Manning and Grimes have been enthusiastically responsive to each other’s tweets (dare we say flirtatious? Maybe? It’s a bit of reach) since December last year. There have been a lot of mutual likes and affectionate little exchanges. At one point Grimes joked to Manning that she seems to be taking her “word as final these days” which could mean both nothing and everything. It’s not the first surreal breakthrough from Grimes this week. Yesterday, in her new Vanity Fair cover story, the singer revealed that she had secretly had a second child with Musk via a surrogate last December. The newborn girl, named Exa Dark Sideræl, joins this life with her one-year-old brother, X Æ A-12. When asked by the Vanity Fair journalist what Exa Dark Sideræl’s arrival meant for her relationship with Musk, Grimes attempted to clarify. “There’s no real word for it,” she said. “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time… We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.” So what does this all mean? Has Grimes finally left Musk for the infinitely more worthwhile Manning? Honestly, who can say! Maybe this is all made up and we’re living in a hologram! But also, if it isn’t, good for them! We wish them all the best.
