Celebrate 30 years of Dazed with our brand new book

Featuring contributions from the likes of Arca, Björk, and Dev Hynes, Dazed: 30 years confused takes you on a journey through some of the magazine’s most iconic covers from the past three decades

To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Dazed is launching a brand new book, featuring contributions by Iris Apfel, Björk, Dev Hynes, Arca, and many more.

Released September 28, Dazed: 30 years confused is split into ten chapters, each focusing on an iconic cover from the past three decades.

From Alexander McQueen and David Bowie’s first official, recorded conversation and the designer’s “Fashion-Able?” cover, to a rare appearance and guest-edit by Chelsea Manning and rapper Young Thug shot by Harley Weir, the book explores the publication’s past, present, and future, looking at how early manifestations of Dazed have influenced the magazine’s ethos today.

Readers can discover behind-the-scenes snippets of the magazine. Think: Courtney Love running into Karl Lagerfeld slightly ahead of her 2009 covershoot in a swanky Paris hotel, or Gareth Pugh scoring his cover fresh out of graduation. Fashion legend Iris Apfel sheds light on being a 91-year-old Comme des Garçons cover girl in the November 2012 issue, while stylist Jennifer Elster reflects on that 1996 Chloë Sevigny cover.

To celebrate the release, Virgil Abloh has designed a very limited run of book bags with 100 exclusively available at Dover Street Market London with book purchases from September 28. Or, head over to Rizzoli to find out more.
