Join us at Dazed Academy, a new monthly programme of free talks to empower those hoping to break into fashion, publishing, writing, social media, video, and more. The monthly talk series sees Dazed Media open its doors to the public from its London HQ at 180 The Strand. First up is “How to stand out as a writer” on March 3, where Thomas Gorton and Claire Marie Healy, editors at Dazed Digital and Dazed, respectively, will explore the importance of tone of voice, finding unique stances, and how to pitch. “At a time when arts education is being cut and community spaces are diminishing, creating physical spaces for young people to learn how to create, collaborate, exchange, discover, share and work is more important than ever,” said Isabella Burley, editor in chief of Dazed. “By opening up our doors via this new talks programme we want to inspire the next generation to think about how many different career paths there are for those hoping to work in the creative industries.” “How to stand out as a writer” takes place Tuesday, March 3, between 6.30pm-7.30pm.
