Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club is officially back, bringing you a stacked new season of film screenings from February through to April. Expect to see some of this year’s most anticipated releases by the likes of Jim Jarmusch and Kleber Mendonça Filho. Starting on February 5, the season will kick off with a special preview of My Father’s Shadow, taking your favourite cinema club to Peckhamplex for the first time. Directed by London’s own Akinola Davies Jr., the stunning and atmospheric debut feature film follows two young boys on a journey to Lagos with their father, to uncover the secrets of his history against the inflamed political backdrop of Nigeria in 1993. Premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes Film Festival in 2025, where it also picked up a Caméra d'Or Special Mention, the film has already won a British Independent Film award and two Gotham awards, including recognition for a stellar lead performance by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Slow Horses, Gangs of London). Elsewhere in the season, you’ll be able to catch Kleber Mendonça Filho’s Golden Globe-winning The Secret Agent, a tense thriller set in 1970s Brazil, following a university professor played by Wagner Moura (Narcos, Civil War). This will be followed by Sound of Falling by Mascha Schilinski, a cross-generational story from a rare new voice in cinema, as well as Father Brother Sister Mother, the Venice Film Festival-winning triptych from Jim Jarmusch, starring Adam Driver, Cate Blanchett, Indya Moore, and Luka Sabbat. Tickets are now on sale for a preview screening of My Father’s Shadow on February 5 (doors open at 7.30pm) including a free drink and popcorn. Half-price tickets are available for Dazed Club members (download the Dazed Club app for free here for iOS and here for Android). Can’t make it?
