The trailer for Sofia Coppola's A24-produced Priscilla Presley biopic, chicly simply titled Priscilla, is finally here and it looks absolutely sumptious. Based on Priscilla Presley’s 1984 memoir, Elvis & Me, the film follows her account of her life married to the king of rock‘n‘roll, Elvis, including intimate details of infidelity, substance abuse and their ultimate divorce in 1973. The film, which is set for release this coming October, stars Cailee Spaeny (Vice, The Craft: Legacy) as Priscilla and Euphoria heartthrob Jacob Elordi as Elvis. Watch the trailer below. This October, we’re going to Graceland. That film, however, did not focus intensely on the relationship between Elvis and Priscilla. The film marks Sofia Coppola’s third collaboration with A24, following previously films On the Rocks and The Bling Ring. A television adaptation of Edith Wharton’s Custom of the Country is also in the works. While the exact release date for the film remains to be seen, in a tweet A24 confirmed Priscilla will find its way to cinemas in October. See you there.
