Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and more join the cast for Don’t Look Up

Adam McKay’s Netflix comedy is also set to star Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, and Jonah Hill

Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Meryl Streep have joined the cast for Don’t Look Up, Adam McKay’s upcoming Netflix comedy about two low-level astronomers on a media tour to warn mankind about an approaching asteroid, which could end life on the planet.

If that’s not star-studded enough for you though, don’t fear, because they will also be joining the already-announced Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, and Rob Morgan for the production, as well as Jonah Hill, Kid Cudi, Himesh Patel, Matthew Perry, and more, making for a pretty astronomical lineup altogether (pun very much intended).

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are expected to play the two astronomers, according to Variety, though Netflix is yet to provide confirmation of the roles. What we do know is that Don’t Look Up is currently slated to start filming before the end of the year.

Following acclaim for his films The Big Short and Vice, Adam McKay has previously been tapped by Bong Joon Ho to work on the TV adaptation of Parasite. For Don’t Look Up, the filmmaker will write, direct and co-produce.
