Described as “hip hop’s first legit TV competition”, the John Legend-produced show is meant as a rap rendition of the X-Factor and The Voice, just less One Direction and more Drake. The three week-long series starts on October 9 and takes the form of 10, one-hour long episodes, all released on a weekly basis, which means strictly no bingeing. The first set of four episodes will take us on a tour of the US to meet the hopefuls in the auditioning process. On October 16, there will be a further three episodes where contestants will compete in cyphers (basically a jam sesh) and rap battles. The show closes on October 23, with the final three episodes focusing on sampling, collaborations and the finale. Check out the trailer below.
