Described as “hip hop’s first legit TV competition”, the John Legend-produced show is meant as a rap rendition of the X-Factor and The Voice, just less One Direction and more Drake. The three week-long series starts on October 9 and takes the form of 10, one-hour long episodes, all released on a weekly basis, which means strictly no bingeing. The first set of four episodes will take us on a tour of the US to meet the hopefuls in the auditioning process. On October 16, there will be a further three episodes where contestants will compete in cyphers (basically a jam sesh) and rap battles. The show closes on October 23, with the final three episodes focusing on sampling, collaborations and the finale. Check out the trailer below. In the words of Cardi B: “it’s gonna be litty like a fucking titty”.
