As spring gives way to summer and the bank holidays start to stack up, optimism seems to return: the sun sets later, people linger outside for longer and, in Ibiza, party season officially begins. It was fitting, then, that last week Armani Exchange landed on the Balearic island to celebrate the 50th anniversary of legendary nightclub Amnesia. Expanding on the partnership between the Italian brand and the Ibiza club, which began last year, Armani Exchange and Amnesia came together on May 9 to throw the ultimate opening party. Celebrating five decades of Amnesia, the event drew on the club’s history and Armani Exchange’s belief that music can bring people, and new communities, together. Throughout the summer, anyone who attends Amnesia will find touches of Armani Exchange across the venue. Below is everything that went down. A WEARABLE INVITE If you were to walk around the bright pink and yellow Los Felices Hotel last weekend, chances are you probably bumped into someone wearing a graphic t-shirt bearing the statement “NYC, MILANO, IBIZA: EVERYWHERE”. What most people did not know was that the t-shirt, as well as being the official invite for the opening, was the first teaser of a secret upcoming product collaboration between the two establishments, expected to launch next year. THE WEEKEND STARTED WITH AN APERITIVO Courtesy of Armani Exchange Before heading to the venue, Armani Exchange hosted an intimate dinner with guests, friends of the brand and Ibiza locals, who all came together to celebrate the collaboration. AMENESIA TURNED 50 Courtesy of Armani Exchange In a more glamorous scene than the average 50th birthday party, the event was filled with hundreds of people all enjoying sets and special performances. Throughout the space, projectors beamed “50 years of dancing and making history” throughout the space, setting the scene for the night. CARLOTTA TOOK US ALONG FOR THE JOURNEY For the real insider look, we asked influencer Carlota Pitarch to show us inside her weekend in Ibiza. Head to the above to check out her camera roll from the event. EVERYONE PARTIED NIGHT UNTIL DAY Opening just after 1am, the venue was jampacked and remained that way until it closed at noon. Watch the highlights in our video above. ...AND YOU CAN TOO Courtesy of Armani Exchange In case you feel FOMO for not being one of the thousands of partygoers who were in attendance that night, worry not. On October 10th, Armani Exchange will throw a closing party expected to be equally exciting as the opening. And if you happen to find yourself in Ibiza throughout June and July, every Sunday, Armani Exchange will be taking over the space’s party, Pyramind, for nights celebrating global electronic music.
