We threw a cocktail party to mark the talent incubator’s milestone and launch our autumn 2025 issue

25 years ago, talent incubator Fashion East was founded by Lulu Kennedy and born in a Brick Lane warehouse. In the past quarter-century, it has introduced the world to the likes of  Jonathan Anderson, Kim Jones, Maximilian Davis, Martine Rose, Grace Wales Bonner, Craig Green, Simone Rocha and Supriya Lele, to name just a few.

On Friday afternoon (September 19), it delivered its SS26 show during London Fashion Week, this season featuring two new designers: Essex-based Louis Mayhew and Barcelona-born Jacek Gleba Puig, while Nuba founder Cameron Williams returned for another season.

To mark Fashion East’s 25th anniversary, we dedicated one of our autumn 2025 cover stories to the platform, taking a look back at its journey – from humble beginnings to nurturing some of the UK’s best young talent.

Of course, we had to throw a party as well. On Friday evening, Dazed and Fashion East joined forces to host our issue launch party as well as the SS26 fashion show after party. Held at the ICA (the same venue as the catwalk earlier that day), guests sipped on Dirty Brew by Belvedere Vodka cocktails including: the Intro (Belvedere Dirty Brew and orange), the Espresso (Belvedere with a shot of espresso), the Belvedere mule (Belvedere with ginger beer and lime) and the Skinny B (Belvedere, lime and soda).

Joining the full Dazed team in celebration, attendees included Kai-Isaiah Jamal, Harley Weir, Bibi Abdulkadir, Deba Hekmat, Olly Shinder, Hayett McCarthy, Felicia Pennant, Mesh Henry, Harry Freegard, Ancuta Sarca, Gary Card, Princess Julia, Christabel MacGreevy, Joyce NG and Claire Burman.

The evening also marked the preview of Fashion East’s anniversary exhibition, US LOT: 25 Years of Fashion East, powered by Nike. While guests perused the display, DJs DryBabe and NUISANCE (Miss Jason B2B with Hasani) provided the soundtrack.
