FashionIncomingY-3 x NYC Ballet & The Last MagazineBenjamin Millipied rides the Y-3 Waves with The Last Magazine.ShareLink copied ✔️March 10, 2010FashionIncomingTextRachael Bridge A unique film collaboration between Benjamin Millipied and Y-3 for The Last Magazine, a publication dedicated to next generation art, fashion and culture, will be shown on the respective websites and Y-3 stores worldwide. ‘The Third Wave’ shows Benjamin Millipied, a principal dancer at the New York City Ballet precisely execute a slick, controlled choreography alongside four other young dancers including, Jessica Saund from the American Ballet Theatre. The importance of form and movement is emphasised through the graphic, monochome palette and reflected through the fluid and continuous style performed by the dancers wearing Y-3 collection. Y-3’s signature design aesthetic combined with Japanese tailoring and utilitarian inspiration is prevalent through the garments.
