On the last night of July, last Thursday night, Honey’s was transformed into a tropical beach club. MCM and Dazed joined forces for a summer bash that brought SoHo heat to the Brooklyn bar, where Patia, Michaela Stark, Dazed Club members and more came together to make the most of the season. Dazed and the German heritage brand, known for its backpacks and leather travel accessories, decked Honey’s out with sunset-colored lights, pink palm trees and branded barrels. There were aviator sunglasses to accessorise (courtesy of MCM, of course), and one party-goer even said it felt like the moment ‘summer finally started’ this year.  

As the sun set, light reflected off the disco ball as the DJ’s sets pulsed through the space. Party people sipped on chilli sunset cocktails and posed next to the indoor palm trees (there were multiple), complete with sand and red and white ring buoys. It was a celebration of not just summer, but also the people and creative communities that keep New York alive – and there’s more to come in-store this month. Here’s everything you need to know.

DJS KEPT THE VIBES GOING WELL INTO THE NIGHT

From sunset to late, there was non-stop dancing to music from Talia Goddess, the group Las Flaquitas and Honey Bun. Each DJ set transported us all to arguably the best part of New York summers: a bumping block party with all your friends.

The summer bash officially kicks off MCM’s summer series, based in MCM’s Soho store at 100 Greene St, and there’s an exciting lineup throughout the rest of the season. This Saturday, August 9, stop by the store from 1 to 5pm for bites and sips with a curated soundtrack with new music by Tina (aka HoodCelebrityy).
