Met Gala 2025: After-party polaroids of Halle Bailey, Yara Shahidi and more

The real fun started after the gala ended, with photographer Andrew Tess heading to the Boom Boom Room to snap some exclusive candids of all the stars

Though fashion’s biggest night has come and gone, we’re still reeling from the sensory overload that was the 2025 Met Gala. Before the red carpet had even begun, stars like Tyla and Doechii were announcing their New York arrivals with pre-Met pap walks in elaborate outfits.

Then, the actual red carpet began, and there seemed to be an inordinate amount of antics, even for the Met Gala. Doechii made her debut proper with the Louis Vuitton logo branded onto her cheek, A$AP Rocky was a walking billboard in an instantly shoppable look, Pharrell banned Sabrina Carpenter from wearing trousers, André 3000 was carrying the entire music industry on his shoulders, Luar laced Myha’la into a pair of cunty, knee-high Timbs, and Rihanna shut down the carpet with the announcement of her third pregnancy. Whew!

And while that might be enough to keep any normal person satisfied, not these celebs. After the gala was over, a bunch of them headed to the Boom Boom Room at the top of the Standard for the hotel’s annual post-Met afters, and Andrew Tess was on hand to snap them while there.

With Burna Boy and Black Coffee on DJ and hosting duties, Burberry girl Jodie Turner-Smith posed with the label’s creative director Daniel Lee, actress Yara Shahidi was all smiles for the camera, while Collina Strada’s Hillary Taymour hid behind glasses and a big hat. Elsewhere, Halle Bailey shed her Coach blazer dress to reveal the diamanté corset underneath, and models Dilone and Ivy Getty also made Boom appearances in the late hours of the night.
