In fact, the creative director recently posted a picture of himself on Instagram “hanging out” with video game character Senna from League of Legends. Now, the designer drops his latest Pre-Fall campaign for the house: a campy homage to vintage sci-fi book covers, with titles including The Devil’s Mansion, Forbidden Games, and The Haunted Garden among those on the line-up. Lensed by Collier Schorr, Ghesquière enlisted some of his favourite stars to take on the roles of the fictional characters, with Yaya, Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, Doona Bae, Cody Fern, Angelica Ross, and Robyn all taking centre-stage alongside burning castles, race cars, and dragons. With those featured dressed head-to-toe the luxury house’s latest collection, which includes prim, 70s-inspired midi-dresses, capes, and colourful tailored suits, one t-shirt is even embossed with the original cover from William Peter Blatty’s 1971 cult novel The Exorcist.
