Titled Reading is a Right, the new collection champions expression and aims to support libraries at a time when they are under attack in the US. More and more books are being added to the US’s ongoing banned books list, which currently includes Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye and James Baldwin’s If Beale Street Could Talk. Notably, the majority of books being targeted are either written by or about queer people and people of colour. “It’s easy to see why repressive governments often target literature, which has the power to disseminate new ideas, encourage critical thinking, and bolster readers’ ability to empathise with people from all walks of life,” wrote Dazed’s deputy editor Serena Smith in February this year. Penguin Random House is one of the publishers currently suing states such as Idaho and Florida for their recent laws, whilst all proceeds from the new Online Ceramics collab will be donated to the nonprofit American Library Association. All educators and librarians will also get 20 per cent off. You can browse the full collection here. Coachella 2025 came to a close with weekend two (see all our favourite looks here), prompting us to look back on the history of pop stars and their micro shorts. It’s also been Lesbian Visibility Week, so in the name of Sappho, we traced fashion’s love affair with the lesbian.
