Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have looked at the tension created between the ideas of tradition and future, pitting heritage values against futuristic expression. Classic silhouettes are doused in a wintry palette, using futuristic fabrics to reaffirm that traditiona/future tension. In addition to the presentation of the menswear looks, Y-3 revealed its latest S/S 10 campaign, photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Nicola Formichetti. It is a reconfigured team portrait emphasising the footballing nations that adidas supports and features Zinedine Zidane as 'captain', who of course turned up for a memorable finale at the S/S 10 show as well as a rare appearance of Yamamoto.
