As of late, though, she’s been dipping her toe back into public appearances, first with the launch of her fragrance line Orebella, and now, at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. This afternoon, the supermodel showed up to the premiere of mega-anticipated Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice, marking her first time back on the red carpet in over 18 months, and naturally she served a lewk. Hadid looked to the latest collection from Anthony Vaccarello for the occasion, slipping into a see-through slip of a thing from Saint Laurent’s AW24 line-up, which debuted in Paris back in February. In a fleshy nude shade not far in hue from Hadid’s skin, the look was made up of a nipple-flashing halterneck top and slinky ruched pencil skirt, matching with a pair of Vaccarello’s notoriously difficult to navigate stilettos. The final runway touch, which took the form of a tonal mesh skull-cap was left in the showroom, however, with Hadid instead going for Hollywood curls. With the Côte d'Azur hitting temperatures of 25°C right now, it’s not a surprise: no one wants a sweaty head on the red carpet, not least a supermodel making her big post-hiatus return. Naturally, with fashion season approaching at a wild speed – albeit officially men’s rather than women’s – the internet is buzzing with speculation that Hadid might add a runway return to her agenda.
