Dazed Club Live: Glasgow

Dazed Club is coming to Glasgow for a fashion and film takeover

Hosted in partnership with MUBI, Dazed Club Live: Glasgow will feature an exclusive panel talk, community mixer, and special screening of High & Low – John Galliano

Heads up fashion fans: Dazed Club Live is coming to Glasgow! Set to be hosted at the city’s Centre for Contemporary Arts next week, the event – held in partnership with MUBI – will revolve around fashion, film, and everything in between, offering you insights on breaking into both industries via panel talks, mixers, and a special screening of High & Low – John Galliano.

Taking place on April 23, the event will kick off with an exclusive panel talk featuring members of the Dazed and MUBI teams, including Dazed’s fashion features director Emma Davidson, Dazed Club creative director Jack Sunnucks, marketing assistant Percy Cobbinah, community manager Shel Kaplan, and MUBI’s marketing manager Marina Vuotto. Between them, they will share their stories about how they got into the worlds of fashion, film, culture, and events, and offer tips on working across print and digital, commissioning films, producing events, and building the Dazed community.

Afterwards, members of the Dazed and MUBI teams will also stick around for a community mixer, including drinks, a Dazed magazine drop, and an exclusive poster and tote bag giveaway. For any aspiring creatives, this will also be a valuable chance to ask Dazed questions about the last three decades in independent publishing, or to quiz MUBI on the future of film (not to mention connecting with fellow creators across Glasgow).

Then, what better way to round out the latest Dazed Club Live than a screening of High & Low – John Galliano? In case you missed it, the documentary by Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald proved the perfect crossover of fashion and film when it hit the UK this March (or February, if you made it along to the Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club screening), shining a light on the legendary fashion designer’s private life and career across several decades. As the title suggests, this includes Galliano’s time at the top, as well as his infamous downfall in 2011, with contributions from Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Penelope Cruz, Anna Wintour, Edward Enninful, and more.

Fancy coming along? Tickets for Dazed Club Live: Glasgow are now on sale here for £5, or free for Dazed Club members (learn more here).
