Loewe’s Flamenco Purse is the meeting point of craftsmanship and chic

During his 11-year tenure as creative director at Loewe, Jonathan Anderson has become synonymous with surreal, mind-bending ready-to-wear and covetable, chic accessories that attest to the house’s artisanal history – initially founded in 1846 by a collective of leather craftsmen.

After reintroducing the Flamenco Purse in 2015 – a style that first debuted in the 80s – for SS24, Anderson debuted a new generation of the bag. Reminiscent of a flamenco skirt, the name is a nod to the effect created when the bag is cinched closed by its coiled knots. 

Soft and supple – crafted from buttery napa lambskin – the bag hugs the body when worn, whether as a clutch, crossbody, or over the shoulder. As always with Loewe, the devil is in the details, with an artisanal gold donut chain strap threaded by hand that can be adjusted or removed – finished with a gold, logo-engraved Pebble.

Available in multiple sizes – from cute mini and practical medium to the roomy bucket – the bag comes in a variety of colours, whether you’re partial to a classic black or enticed by seasonal shades of emerald green, dark burgundy, or sahara.
