Telfar is dishing out 10,000 free bags this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving – that glorious, heartwarming holiday of undercooked turkey, overcooked vegetables, shitty knitwear, and festive arguments around the table with your deeply problematic relatives – is here once again, and this year, to celebrate, Teflar has big news. 

As a way of giving its own thanks to its global network of loyal fans, the democratic New York fashion label is set to give away between 5,000 and 10,000 of its iconic vegan leather shopper bags – and in the process, give new meaning to its “not for you, for everyone” slogan.

So what’s the deal? The GIFTED programme will land this Friday [November 17] ahead of the holidays, with Teflar dropping every single size, colour, and finish of its legendary tote. When customers order one, they’ll be given the opportunity to pay one forward to a friend, family member, or loved one – all they’ll need to do is make a short video shouting out the person who deserves a free Telfar tote. 

With orders being sent out the following week, sure, they might not arrive in time for Thanksgiving itself, but arrival in time for Christmas should just about be guaranteed – meaning not only will your brother, sister, or bestie have a cute new tote, but also a weapon to smash over any problematic relative’s head should they get on to why Trump deserves a second shot at office.
