This being their fourth collection, it doesn't look like Jaiden James and Rasharn D'Vera Agyman are buckling under the pressures to design clothes for the masses. At the Fashion East Menswear Installations last season,as we descended down the stairs to the vaults of Somerset House in September, Jaiden rVa James' skin-tight primary-coloured rubber outfits and spiked hoods were pretty self-explanatory in the designers' intent. "S/S 10 focused on the duo's youth, the loss of it and cultures obsession with it. It was also inspired by the alternative lifestyles of the young captured within the photographs and films of Larry Clark and Ryan Mcginley," their press blurb explains. It is also an intentionally showpiece statement of a collection that is for the duo, a milestone in their relatively young design careers: "This season is a celebration of both two years and five seasons that we have been running the label so we still feel relatively young, so its also youth that the company possesses, youth that we are holding on to but slowly losing and youth that we are attracted to." Here we feature more shots of this collection by Mari Sarai, styled by Robbie Spencer.
