The TikTok star has long been a fashion fanatic, so it made sense she’d eventually land on the sidelines at the shows. This season, however, she’s gone one step further and actually taken to the runway at KNWLS’ SS24 fuelled-up petrol-fest. With the collection itself giving classic KNWLS – all lace-up corsetry, uber-low, pubic-bone skimming minis, second-skin semi-see-through flares, and pumped-up leather jackets with big bouncy shoulders – Khalifa was last out of the gate as she closed down the show. The star stepped out onto the pebbled runway in a mega-slinky cutaway dress with halter-neckline and a panel at the waist that flashed a glimpse of her abs. Her hair was slicked down into a sleek side-part, so seems like Gen Z had better get over their disdain for the style, since masthead brand KNWLS has officially ushered in its return. Fresh from their appearance at New York Fashion Week, where designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault linked up with SSENSE to throw a massive party celebrating the launch of their collab with Jean Paul Gaultier, there was also a nod in JPG’s direction during the finale. Dressed in a distressed mint choc chip bustier, Lily McMenamy cavorted down the catwalk to Gaultier’s 1989 electro banger “How To Do That”.
