Bringing yet another wild ride of a year to a close comes a unique collection that unites French heritage and Japanese innovation, as Jones and Chitose Abe of Sacai join forces. In a subdued but uber-chic palette of black, grey, and white, the offering incorporates sacai’s signature indigo denim, as seen across classic Dior silhouettes including double-breasted coats and workwear styles. Dior’s classic Saddle bag is updated through techy nylon flourishes, while embroidered flowers – inspired by Monsieur Dior’s own botanical sketches – provide embellishment throughout. “Sacai is one of my first stops when I go to Japan,” Jones told WWD in explanation of the collab. “I’ve always loved (Chitose Abe) and just think she’s one of the coolest women in the world.” Check it out in the gallery below.
