Ella Emhoff is a Couture model now, thanks to Balenciaga

The model and knitwear designer stepped out at Demna Gvasalia’s first Couture show for the house

This morning, all of fashion’s eyes were on Demna Gvasalia as he unveiled his debut Couture collection for Balenciaga. Presented to the likes of Kanye West and Bella Hadid, it featured the architectural shapes the house is known for, with the wry humour Gvasalia injects into all his collecitions.

Opened by Balenciaga fave, Eliza Douglas, following shortly after was knitwear designer and model stepdaughter of Kamala Harris – Ella Emhoff. Bespectacled and (almost) unrecognisable without her halo of frizz, she appeared in an ankle-skimming blazer, accessorised with an oversized satin shawl that dragged along the floor for dramatic effect, naturally.

While this is Emhoff’s Couture debut, this isn’t her first runway outing, previously walking at Proenza Schouler’s AW21 show

Watch the show below and stay tuned for the full report – it’s coming quicker than you can scream “BALENCIAGAAAA!”.
