Rocking up to the Grammys on Sunday night, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer stepped on stage with Dev Hynes, hung out with Lizzo behind-the-scenes, and, as is usually the case, caused a commotion when it came to his outfit choices. In the hours that followed, fans worked themselves into a frenzy over the sight of the Gucci leathers and fluffy sage green scarf he wore to perform, as well as the yellow plaid jacket he went for when it came to his red carpet appearance – with many pointing out the similarities between his second look and Cher Horowitz’s legendary skirt suit in Clueless. Now, the real Cher – or rather, Alicia Silverstone, who played her in the cult movie – has given the look her seal of approval. Taking to Instagram last night (March 15), the actress posted a side-by-side of her and Styles in the look, and tbh, it’s basically uncanny. “I am loving the #Clueless vibes @harrystyles. Cher would be so honored (and totally approve!!) of this chic look,” she wrote in the caption, before congratulating him on best pop solo performance win. Elsewhere, Ashley Tisdale weighed in on the discourse surrounding the ‘fit after others likened Styles’ look to the quite frankly iconic look she wore to the Princess Diaries 2 premiere in the early 00s. Posting a photo of Harry next to one of herself in a stunning pair of bootleg denim jeans, a cami and long-sleeved tee combo, and a pink feather boa, the actress simply captioned the post “haha” – whether that’s in approval or not… well, we’ll leave that one with you.
