Enlisting 00s runway legend Laetitia Casta to star in the stripped-back series, the Paris-based designer dishes out a heady dose of nostalgia – with the model seen playing with an old-school games console, making a call on a Nokia cellphone, and driving a Pepto Bismol pink car with Toutou in the passenger seat (those little ears – we cannot). The pièce de résistance, however, comes in the form of a Jacquemus-ified vending machine. Devoid of the usual overpriced Wotsits, Starburst, and bottles of Pepsi Max, in their place are a selection of the designer’s bags – from the tiny Chiquito to the new Bambino, its shelves are filled with a candy-coloured rainbow of his most covetable styles. The only question is: anyone got any change? Check out the full L’Année 97 campaign in the gallery above. Escape the algorithm!
