Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign is a kitsch, campy homage to pulp fiction

Featuring Cody Fern, Jaden Smith, Robyn, and more

Nicolas Ghesquière is renowned for using sci-fi to inform his creative output at Louis Vuitton, referencing everything from Star Wars to Stranger Things in his collections. In fact, the creative director recently posted a picture of himself on Instagram “hanging out” with video game character Senna from League of Legends

Now, the designer drops his latest Pre-Fall campaign for the house: a campy homage to vintage sci-fi book covers, with titles including The Devil’s Mansion, Forbidden Games, and The Haunted Garden among those on the line-up.

Lensed by Collier SchorrGhesquière enlisted some of his favourite stars to take on the roles of the fictional characters, with Yaya, Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, Doona BaeCody Fern, Angelica Ross, and Robyn all taking centre-stage alongside burning castles, race cars, and dragons.

With those featured dressed head-to-toe the luxury house’s latest collection, which includes prim, 70s-inspired midi-dresses, capes, and colourful tailored suits, one t-shirt is even embossed with the original cover from William Peter Blatty’s 1971 cult novel The Exorcist.
