The latest heated exchange came just last week, when, on the new series, aspiring designer Tyler Neasloney clapped back at some poor feedback by cattily calling out guest judge Karlie Kloss. When one of the show’s judges, Brandon Maxwell, told him his designs would never be worn by the likes of the former Victoria’s Secret angel, Neasloney quipped, “Not even to dinner with the Kushners?”. With 50 per cent of proceeds going to a charity supporting the young homeless LGBTQ+ community, the designer wrote on Instagram, “Politically driven evening wear 💅🏻 50% of proceeds from these shirts benefit the @aliforneycenter for homeless LGBTQ youth. The young people who call AFC home are true inspirations.” Given Trump’s presidency has continously demonised the LGBTQ+ community through various abhorrent policies, Kloss’s relationship with the family sits in stark contrast to her supposedly liberal ideologies. Although Kloss has said her relationship to the Trumps “has been hard”, it seems she has her in-law’s full encouragement, with Ivanka posting a video of herself proclaiming her support for the supermodel’s stint on the show.
