And who better to star in the collection’s accompanying campaign than the world’s most famous mouse? With the shoot itself taking place at Disneyland, the imagery is lensed by Gummo director Harmony Korine, with art direction by Christopher Simmonds, and sees Dazed cover star Earl Cave, Dazed 100-er Zoë Bleu, and Chinese actress and brand ambassador Ni Ni head out into the theme park in a succession of Gucci’s signature vintage-inspired designs, with many of the pieces starring Walt Disney’s OG mouse. Alongside this, there is a short accompanying video set against the backdrop of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, in which the models go for a magic tea-cup ride, ride the log flume using their Gucci bucket hats as a way of protection from the splashing water, and take selfies with Mickey himself. The collection will be available on January 3 online at Gucci.
