This is not a drill: Rihanna and ASAI are dropping a collab today

Cast your mind back to October and you may remember a certain video Rihanna posted on her Instagram. Shot in slo-mo, the singer was captured poolside in a hot pink tye-dye dress, wearing micro black sunglasses. If, unlike us, you didn’t watch the video ten times over, though, you may have missed the designer she was wearing.

Step forward A Sai Ta, whose label ASAI has gained him fans in the form of Jorja Smith, Teyana Taylor, Dev Hynes, and RiRi herself in the three short years since it was founded. Now, Rihanna is taking her admiration for Ta one step further, with the pair announcing a new and very limited edition collaborative collection on Instagram yesterday.

Set to launch at Selfridges today, the offering is an exclusive, London edition of Fenty’s City Bloom – a recently released edit of winter ready-to-wear pieces – which Ta has been tasked with customising. With printed jersey dresses and long-sleeved tops in muted colours on the line-up, the collection will harness the former Fashion East designer’s signature Hot Wok aesthetic, which you basically can’t go anywhere without seeing right now tbh. 

With only 24 pieces making up the collection, you’d better be quick if you want a slice of the action – we’ll see you in the queue.
