In a knitted skirt, a matching bandeau top placed over a white oversized shirt, and a pair of squared toe collaboration Ugg mules, the model and actress made her way down the catwalk with wet look pushed back hair in a look she iconicly dubbed an ‘echo park kefir mom knit moment’. Other models to walk included Eckhaus regulars Paloma Elsesser, Coco Gordon Moore, and artist and Dazed contributor Michael Bailey Gates. Featuring nearly 40 looks, the New York-based label introduced some new elements to show this season as founders Zoe Latta and Mike Eckhaus decided to challenge their aversion to frills. The result was understated blue and orange glittery maxi dresses and a ruffled mini dress. Known for having their friends and familiar New York city faces walk in their shows, Eckhaus Latta has seen podcaster and actress Dasha Nekrasova walk for their AW19 show, Collier Schorr walk for their AW17 show, and Dev Hynes for their SS16 show. Nef also walked for their SS15 and AW15 collections. Despite moving to LA to focus on her acting, Nef has been a familiar face at NYFW this season. Supporting Maryam Nassir Zadeh, the Assassination Nation star took to Instagram to post a picture of herself in a clown inspired dress by the designer. She has also been spotted at other shows in the city, including Proenza Schouler, Vaquera and Section 8. Fingers crossed for a Marc Jacobs FROW moment tonight. Escape the algorithm!
