It was an extra thrill to have The Fiery Furnaces playing a live set at Vena Cava's show. Then again, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhal, the duo behind the insouciant New York label have always gotten extra creative with their presentations. This season, the set was pared back to metal ladders along the catwalk for models to pose around them and post-catwalk, onlookers were then given the chance to get better acquainted with the acid wash prints, the plethora of gauzey fabrics, the leather visors and easy going tailoring punctuated by safety pin waistcoats that toughen things up.
