Rodarte’s new collab celebrates women of all sizes

Design duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy have teamed up with inclusive fashion company Universal Standard to create a collection available from size 00 to 40

After returning to NYFW for one season only, Rodarte left the official fashion month schedule, leaving fans of the label wondering what would come next. The wait is over, with design duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy dropping a new collaboration created in partnership with inclusive fashion company Universal Standard.

Since it was founded in 2015, the company has been changing the fashion retail landscape by offering plus size women a variety of looks in sizes 00 to 40. The new collaboration with Rodarte is no different, offering four items – dress, blouse, skirt, and jumpsuit – in 42 (!) sizes. To bring life to the images, models Tess McMillan and Enam Asiama appear shot in the desert of California.

“We wanted to start with what felt like signature pieces that could be the building blocks to have a great wardrobe, pieces that you could style in a lot of different ways, that could go from evening to day, that could travel easily, and yet still be very elevated and fashion-forward,” the sisters explain to Vogue. “It is really exciting to know that anyone could access these pieces.”

Rodarte x Universal Standard is available online now.
