Michele Lamy, Rei Kawakubo, and drag artist Salvia hit the streets at PFW

Photographer Yu Fujiwara closes the AW19 womenswear season with images shot in Paris

As quickly as it came around, another season of shows is over, giving us time to reflect on those iconic moments – AKA Grace Jones stealing the show at Tommy Hilfiger. Among all the regularly scheduled chaos that is PFW, photographer Yu Fujiwara was on call with his camera to capture the weird (Michelle Elie in a knitted cocoon), wonderful (Michele Lamy, duh), and wholesome (a tiny dog in a backpack, riding with its owner on a moped).

While Fujiwara is good at capturing everything you want to see – the latest AW19 roster includes the likes of Janelle Monae, Stella Tennant, Dazed 100 models Teddy Quinlivan and Maeva Giani Marshall, as well as current cover star Finn Buchanan – his lens often turns to the unsung moments you might not initially notice. Frequently, regular passersby feature in the background of posing street style stars and models.

Elsewhere (yes, there’s more) the always-mysterious Rei Kawakubo appears in a throng of people with Adrian Joffe and radical artist Salvia – who consulted on the make-up for Rick OwensAW19 show, along with even more models like Sara Grace Wallerstedt, Sora Choi, and our very own editor-in-chief Isabella Burley
