Dev Hynes models Virgil Abloh’s new Louis Vuitton capsule

Shot by Nick Sethi, the images for the Pre-Fall collection also star AW19 show-opener Lash

Shortly after releasing his sophomore AW19 menswear collection for Louis Vuitton, designer Virgil Abloh has debuted a third collection for Pre-Fall 2019.

Acting as both a new collection and separate capsule – entitled Staples Edition – the line is modelled by a host of familiar faces, as well as your traditional models. Dev Hynes – who contributed to a live soundtrack at Abloh’s AW19 show – features alongside the likes of Lash, who opened the designer’s first show at the Parisian house.

Photographed by Nick Sethi – whose India-shot photo series featured in the winter 2018 issue of Dazed – there is also an accompanying video featuring some of the looks of the collection, interspersed with clips of Jamiroquai (who inspired those giant fuzzy hats, BTW).

Along with the recognisable names, those meme-able harnesses – that have been worn by the likes Timothée Chalamet and Michael B Jordan – also appear over tailored jackets. Elsewhere, there’s a giant white padded nylon scarf slash mitten combo – a scitten, maybe?
