Yu Fujiwara shoots all the chaos (and weirdness) of LFWM

Our resident fashion week photographer turned his lens on the goings-on at the recent AW19 shows

While your regular street style galleries usually feature your fave models leaving a show, or groups of influencers posing in thousand-£££ outfits, Dazed’s faithful photographer Yu Fujiwara captures moments that could easily be overlooked, but definitely shouldn’t be. At the recent AW19 LFWM shows, he took to the streets once again to give us an alternative look at the what was going on outside of the chaos.

A clear highlight from this season, perfectly captured by Fujiwara, was the Chewbacca-like figure from Xander Zhou’s AW19 presentation, who was spotted roaming the streets of East London post-show. Behind-the-scene saviours who help bring to life designers’ sometimes peculiar visions to life were also pictured, carrying excessive amounts of bubble wrap or taking in the general craziness of it all.

Elsewhere, a moment of calm is documented by way of a destroyed Burberry bag. Alone and appearing to have served its purpose, it offers an almost perfect visual representation of how everyone feels once the weekend of shows come to an end.
