Hedi Slimane is giving Celine menswear its own standalone show

The AW19 shows in January will see the new artistic, creative, and image director join the menswear schedule

One of the biggest fashion moments this year – more on that officially next month – was when Hedi Slimane returned to fashion to present his debut collection for Celine (sans accent).

After showing the first menswear looks from the label as part of his debut show, now Slimane has announced that Celine menswear will have its own standalone presentation in January. According to WWD, the house is in talks with the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode to confirm the date and whether there will still be some womenswear looks.

If you need a quick update on co-ed status, Gucci and Balenciaga are still on the hype – presenting their collections on the womenswear schedule – while Givenchy has decided to revert back to giving menswear its own platform.
