Haider Ackermann is a busy man. When he’s not ruling the Paris runways at Tom Ford, he’s working on his next cosy capsule as creative director at Canada Goose. The Colombian-born French designer joined both brands last year (clearly one job announcement per year isn’t enough), and has since made it his mission to put his own unique spin on each brand.

At Tom Ford, Ackermann honours the ultra-sexy house codes, while moving it into the modern day. Meanwhile, over at Canada Goose, he’s rewriting the rules of outerwear – now, with the help of 92-year-old country music legend Willie Nelson, who stars in the brand’s latest campaign.

The new campaign showcases Ackermann’s third Snow Goose by Canada Goose collection, inspired by the brand’s arctic heritage. Photographed by Tim Elkaïm, alongside Nelson, this new chapter features actor and artist D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, as well as Tasha Tilberg, Stevie Sims, Xiaowen Ju and Connor Newall.

Featuring a frosty colour palette of mint greens, icy lavenders and marine blue, the clothes pay tribute to mother nature – guided by the message “the Earth needs all the friends it can get”. It’s both a love letter to the land that defines Canada Goose, as well as a glimpse into the future of outwear.

“Winter is often imagined as a season of silence, as quiet or still,” says Ackermann. “But I wanted this collection to breathe, to move with the rhythm of life that persists beneath the cold and capture the pulse of life in the cold. Shooting this campaign with Willie Nelson was an incredible honour and something I’d dreamed of since my earliest days with Canada Goose. His raw honesty, his reverence for the earth and its creatures, remind us of what endurance really means.”
