A first look at Alexander Wang’s new Americana-filled campaign

Shot by Brianna Capozzi, the images are the first from the designer after leaving the NYFW schedule

Earlier this year, Alexander Wang announced he would be ditching the NYFW schedule and showing in June and December instead. So back in June, he presented Collection 1, going back to the basics of the label.

For the collection, Wang drew on his Chinese-American heritage, the latter influencing the campaign that he released today. Shot by photographer Brianna Capozzi, the images present the designer’s take on Americana.

Featuring models Binx Walton and Anna Ewers as a cheerleader and jock couple, while a young girl appears dressed as a pageant winner, later appearing in a shot with Walton applying lipstick. Elsewhere, Dazed 100 model Adesuwa poses on a car with a fake graffitied NYC skyline behind her.

With Wang now in his own lane, Collection 2 should be dropping at some point next month – stay tuned.
