Naomi Campbell & her mum star alongside M.I.A. in new Burberry campaign

The all-star cast celebrates Riccardo Tisci’s first festive film for the British house

So, Christmas is still 42 days away, but now that Halloween has passed, Burberry has officially decreed it’s time to prepare for the upcoming season. To celebrate, the British house has released a short film – the first since Riccardo Tisci took over as chief creative officer – directed by Juno Calypso and featuring a star-studded cast.

The film begins with the appropriately festive “Carol of the Bells” playing as a snowy landscape appears, before the camera pans out to reveal it’s simply a cafe where M.I.A. and actor Matt Smith are sitting drinking coffee.

Later on, actress Kristin Scott Thomas appears on a train – with very chic, Burberry monogram upholstery – and then takes her place at the Christmas dinner table with M.I.A., Smith, a bunch of models, and a dog(!). The film ends with Naomi Campbell and her mother Valerie Morris-Campbell looking resplendent in front of the TV in full Burberry check looks.
